At the urging of a number of my Long Covid friends, I've begun to read "Outlive" by Attia. This book is deceptively named, I think, as it appears to really be all about salutogenesis - coming to the "live longer" theme via "delay the onset of these four leading causes of death". I just read the chapter on the heart and it has lots to say about ApoB. That chapter alone is worth a read, I think.

Thanks for the recommendation. It's been on my list to read for a while, but I haven't gotten started on it yet.

This book is unlike many of the other books I've tried to make it through recently. First, it's not written for 4th graders. It's written for adults. It does not dumb anything down. Second, he's not pushing any special diet or drug or therapy that you have to subscribe to him for. He's presenting current research on what he calls the "four horsemen"; the four major killers which, if you can delay them, will expand your healthspan: cardiovascular disease, neurodegenerative diseases, diabetes, and cancer. Then he hits the three major things we can do about them. It's refreshing to read a book like this which doesn't seem to be trying to earn the author more money. Throughout are mentions of various genetic factors like APOE, etc... which I've learned so much from you about (& is the reason I'm a lifelong subscriber to GLH).

Well worth the read.
